'He helped save my mom today': Gentle ginger feline saves woman's life after she passes out by biting her and keeping her conscious until the ETMs arrived

We don't know how it's possible, but some people still actually believe that cats don't care about their humans - that they only tolerate us because we feed them. These people must have never had cats in their lives. Because cats care about their humans so, so much. That is something undeniable that you learn incredibly fast as a cat owner. And sure, some cats have funny ways of showing affection, but that doesn't make their affection any less real. It just means that you have to pay attention to their love languages a little more closely. 

And all cats have one thing in common - cats will be there for you when you need them the most. They can tell when something is wrong with you. They know when you actually need their help - emotional, or like the cat today - physical. The cat in this story knew that something was wrong with one of his humans, and whether he knew what he was doing or not, keeping this woman conscious until the EMTs arrived to help her most likely has saved her life.

    Hi everyone! I'd love to talk about my baby king. Me and king both live together with my mom. This afternoon i had to go to the vet's to pick up his medication. Luckily he could stay home since it was just a simple pickup.

    My mom has CHF and a pacemaker. While I was away, it went off multiple times. My mom fell off her bed and passsd out on the floor. King ran into the room and bit her (he would never bite unless its for play, and even then its gentle)

    He bit her hard to the point she woke up and was able to call me, and he stayed with her until the emts arrived. I called 911 while i was at the vet since i had to wait for an uber and couldnt rush home. Thankfully the emts arrived quickly and rushed her to the hospital! I managed to get home quickly thanks to another pet parent at the vet that offered me a ride home.

    Im grateful she is conscious. Idk what would've happened if she wasn't. She'll be admitted for treatment. Im so grateful for my cat. It might sound silly, but i think he helped keep her calm and gave her company I love my cat so much

  • Everyone can talk about how aloof cats are all day long, but we, as cat owners, we know that when we truly need them, they are there for us. And they always will be. This story is just a little tiny piece of proof. He knew something was wrong, and he knew he needed to help somehow.
